To God Be All Glory and Praise!

Dear Friends

Susie and I send Greetings and Blessings from our house to yours in the name of our Precious Blood-Stained Redeemer. We hope you’re doing well. We are well and happy in the Lord. Thanks for taking a few minutes to review our July/August happenings. We have been busy and are thankful for the doors that He opens for us and for grace to go through them. We have been with some faithful Pastors and individual members in some of the great churches in America today. They may not be famous in this world, but I believe that their faithfulness is noted in Heaven. We started July at Calvary Heights Baptist Church in Springtown. We were able to take 11 from our home church to East Texas Camp Meeting in Canton, TX, it was great to see so many of our friends there. We were blessed go back home(God allowed us to be there for 38years as member & pastor) for Anniversary meeting at Bayou Drive Baptist Church at Alvin, Thank God to see what He is doing with the church there. From Alvin we traveled to Oklahoma City to Beth Haven Baptist Church Bible Conference where Ivan Casteel, the founding pastor resigned because of health issues, pray for Bro Ivan and the church. From OKC we went to Highland, AR to Friendship Baptist Church for two days of a great meeting. We had some great days with family in Missouri then were in Twin Cities Baptist Church at Texarkana for a wonderful week of meetings. We were at home for the last two weeks of August assisting with the startup of the fall semester of Timothy Endeavor Bible Institute at Metropolitan Baptist Church. We had a good Sunday with Lake Worth Baptist Church during this time also.

I am sure that you agree that we live in tough and perilous times. In the midst of wars and rumors of wars, social and political upheaval, and economic and spiritual struggles it looks dark. I just want to encourage you brethren, our God is able to bring Peace in the midst of the storm and rest in time of trouble. He owns American oil and foreign oil as well. He is the God of the Government as well as the God of $5.00 gas. He is the answer to every problem. Don’t lose your joy over situations that only He can control. What we really need is more of Him.

All of this says we must connect the dots and get a clear picture. Certainly we can pray and get answers but we are also instructed to pray one for another. Paul commissioned and called as he was felt his equipment was incomplete without the prayers of the people. Paul was humble enough to ask for the prayers for the saints at; Rome, Ephesus, Colosse, and Thessalonica. He asked for individuals to pray (Philemon 22). He was not too proud to say, “Brethren pray for us that the word of the Lord might have free course”. I want to echo that and say we who stand on the Bible and love the Church must remember to pray for each other. I ask humbly “Brethren pray for us.” 1 Thessalonians 5:25.

Every church in which we serve is important to us. Our desire is to be an encouragement to you and your people. We take every ministry opportunity serious and pray that the Lord will use us where we go. Ours is a faith ministry and we ask God to open doors and touch the hearts of those He would have us to serve. You may contact us several ways. Our contact information is at the top of this page or you may check our website, www.justpreachingjesus.com, or through Metropolitan Baptist Church, www.metrobaptistchurch.org. However you contact us, we will be glad to hear from you. Thank you for taking time to read this letter. We remain…
