April 2010
Dear Friends, Loved Ones and Prayer Partners,
Greetings in the sweet Name of Jesus, He is a wonderful Savior.
It is hard to believe that it’s time for this second letter of 2010.
Last time we asked the question, “Have we made any Spiritual
progress in these first ten years of the new century?” The sad
answer is that in reality the churches of this nation, for the most
part, have moved further from God. There are many indicators
which are too numerous to discuss but Jeremiah summed up the
situation well; “For my people have committed two evils: they
have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and have hewn
them out cisterns, broken cisterns that can hold no water.” He
then goes to great length to say what I want to say very briefly
here. We must have Revival! We must have it now! We must have Revival! Please pray with me David’s
prayer; “Wilt thou not revive us again that thy people may rejoice in Thee?” He promised to Revive if we will
pray, will you pray with me? Let it begin in me.
We have been pretty busy for the months of February and March.
We taught a week long modular course on Angelology at the Timothy
Endeavor College at our home church, Metropolitan BC in Ft. Worth,
TX. We then were with Pastor Albert Gregg and College Heights in
Temple, TX for revival services. Please pray for this church as they
seek a pastor. The latter part of February we were able to attend
Pastor Jerry Locke’s Expository Preaching Seminar at Lake Worth
BC. The next week was the Independent Baptist College Seminar at
Spring Valley BC, Ft. Worth, TX, Pastor Danny Darter.
In March we had a great week of meetings with Steve Martin and
Cleveland Missionary BC in Cleveland, TX. We were at Bodine BC, Okla.
City, OK, Joe Hocking, Pastor for their Missions Colloquium. Next,
a good week in Missions Revival at Liberty BC, Jami Mcravey
is the new Pastor there. Next we went to Victory BC, Salado,
TX, Pastor Billy Borho for their Days of Refreshing Mtg We
came away refreshed in our souls. We were at Eastside BC,
Pastor Doug Shelley at Big Spring, TX for Revival week. We
were in some new (to us) churches and with some new (to us) pastors. But the Lord met with us and moved in many of the
services, for which we say, To Him and Him Alone be all Glory
and Praise.
We are pretty full in April but have many open dates for
the rest of the year. Pastor if you feel so led of the Lord; we
will do all that we can to accommodate you. There are no big
or little churches, no important or less important pastors
in the Lord’s economy. With Jonathan we must say, He
certainly is not limited by few or many. As we go, we come
under the burden for the people and pastors where we are.
Our ministry is one of
faith. We trust the Lord
to touch hearts and
open doors for service where He
would have us serve.
I close with Paul’s request to the
church at Colosse; “Continue in
prayer, and watch in the same
with thanksgiving, withal praying
for us also, that God would open
a door of utterance to speak the
mystery of Christ…”
“Brethren pray for us that the
word of the Lord might have
free course.”
