July, 2008
Dear Friends
Susie and I send Greetings and Blessings from our house to yours in the name of our Precious Blood-Stained Redeemer. We hope you’re doing well. We are now in the heat of the dog days of summer. Thanks for taking a few minutes to review our May/June happenings. God is so far better to us than we deserve. It is such an honor to be saved and called His children, then be called to serve Him, and be able have a personal dialogue with Him. We thank you Lord, for Jesus our Savior and King.
There is an increasing sense of gloom on our nation. People are worried and looking for someone to deliver them from the economic woes we face. Just a reminder, in this election year, that our hope is not in the man who will step into the Oval Office in January. Our hope is not in the white house but the church house, where faithful men stand up and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That is all that will change this nation. We can still put our hope in Him and not be disappointed. We can still trust Him to supply our every need. Tomorrow may look pretty dark and bleak, but remember, we know the One who holds tomorrow. (kinda reminds you of a song doesn’t it?)
May started out at home with Metropolitan’s Anniversary Sunday. Then we were in Bible Baptist at Kennedale and Trinity at Austin , Texas for good meetings with great churches where God’s hand is evident. We had a great week Arkansas City , KS with Missionary Baptist. In June we were again with Bible Baptist at Kennedale for a power Sunday. We had a Sunday with Riverview in Borger and a wonderful week at Camp Masterson . The Camp was packed out with 300 plus, God moved and about 50 souls came into the Kingdom of God that week. All praise and glory to Jesus’ name, I’m still rejoicing in my soul. We were at Calvary Heights in Springtown, then finished the month with a Sunday at Central in Denton.
It is hard to write a summary in a paragraph of this letter of all that God is doing through faithful pastors and individual members of the churches we go to. I don’t want to brag on those we go to or myself, it is only as God works that anything is accomplished, Amen? God has blessed us to allow us to be with some of the greatest churches and pastors in America . In these past months and years of evangelism we have found it to be as Daniel said, “There is a God in Heaven and He rules in the affairs of men.” Sometimes we with Elijah think that we are all that God has left. But take heart, the Lord is still working through His people in His churches. E. M. Bounds said, “The past has not exhausted the possibilities nor the demands for doing great things for God.” I am convinced that if we will pay the price for Revival that we can still know it and see the Lord do “Great and mighty things which thou knowest not.”
Our itinerary is pretty full for July and August but in the remainder of the year we have openings every month. Pastor we would love to serve in your church. If God leads you, we will do our best to accommodate you. Every church we serve in is important to us and our desire is to be an encouragement to you and your people. We take every ministry opportunity seriously and earnestly pray that God will use us in the churches that we go to this year. Ours is a Faith ministry, we trust the Lord to open the doors and touch the hearts of those He would have us to serve.
