December 2009
Dear Friends, Loved Ones and Prayer Partners,
Greetings in the sweet and precious Name of Jesus, His is a Name above all others. I must apologize that because of a printer problem our October letter was only received by Email. So this is a combination report for the last four months of 2009, portions may be redundant to some but we thank you for your understanding.
We are thankful to send this report of this ministry of Edification of believers in the church, Exaltation of the Lord, and Evangelization of the lost. If we can but Exalt Him, believers will be Encouraged and Edified. If these things are in order, souls will be Evangelized by His church. We pray that we may be used in this Biblically balanced process, not emphasizing one at the expense of another.
During August and September we have been blessed to minister in the following churches. Brother Sal Garcia is starting a church in Alamosa, CO, we were able to go to help and encourage him in July. It was a week of fellowship for us, we had one lady saved which made the mission trip worthwhile. We were with Mike Stanley & Friendship Baptist in Hardy, AR for a wonderful meeting. I taught and preached a Prophecy Mini-Semester to help start a Bible Institute at Victory Baptist in Wichita Falls, TX, Jim Turner is the pastor there. We were with Prairie Vista Baptist in Godley, TX for a good Sunday while Lonnie Collier was on vacation. We were with Rick McClaskey and Star Baptist at Keota, OK for their Missions Revival then to Mike Ridge and Fellowship Baptist at Stilwell, OK for a four service Sunday. We were with Charles Kimble and Faith Baptist in Teague, TX for their Thirteenth Anniversary Weekend Revival.
During October and November we were involved in the following churches. We
preached a Bible Conference with my friend Bro Mark Thrift at Washington County Baptist, Lincoln, AR where Kevin Alexander is pastor. Then were privileged to preach the 2nd Sunday of Missions Month at our home Church, Metropolitan Baptist, Fort Worth, TX. The next Sunday we were with David Burkholder and Trinity Baptist, Austin TX for Friend Day. We traveled to the Gulf Coast where I helped with two funerals for former members of ours at Alvin, and was in revival with James McEntire at Faith Baptist in Freeport, TX. We had a good Sunday with John Boyd and 1st Bible Baptist in Kennedale, TX, followed by revival meetings with Craig Thames and Nugent Baptist at Nugent, TX. We ended November with a great Sunday at Star Baptist in Keota, Ok where Rick McClaskey is pastor.
At this writing we are preparing to go to Ama, LA (Suberb of New Orleans) for Missions Weekend, Missionary Curtis Gibson is turning the work there over to pastor Tommy Hogan. Brother Curtis will begin deputation for a few months before starting another much needed work in South Louisiana. Brother Curtis is a faithful man and well experienced, having served almost twenty years in France prior coming to Louisiana.
It is hard to know how to report all the Lord did in these meetings. This is just a paragraph on paper to you but it represents the prayers and tears of saints of God in each of these churches. I just leave you with this, God did meet with us powerfully in about every place. We saw souls saved and saints renewed in commitment and dedication. God is still on His Throne, He still hears and answers prayers, He is still the God of Revival, Jesus still saves souls. To Him be all Glory and Praise, He is worthy of all our praise. Pray for each of these good churches and Pastors who pay the price and are faithful to the Old Bible Paths.
We have some dates scheduled for 2010 but there are open dates in every month. Pastor If you feel so led of the Lord, we will do all that we can to accommodate you. As we go to these churches we come under the burden for the people and pastors who are there. Some have said, “Brother Wayne, call me when you need a place to preach”. Although I understand that, I try not to solicit meetings. Our ministry is one of Faith. We trust the Lord to touch hearts of those He would have us to serve and open doors for service.
