To God Be All Glory and Praise!

Greetings to you in the Sweet and Precious name of Jesus. Praise Him for all His gifts to us. We are thankful to send this letter out at this special time of the year. In the middle of economic recession and slowdown, political reversals, wars, and moral adversity we can still say; “Great is our God and greatly to be praised.” Thank God that in one of the darkest nights of this world’s history He sent His angel to say; “Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:10-11. is the message of the Christmas Season but it is really the message of all seasons. Indeed it is the message of the Gospel which we have the privilege of preaching, a message of joy, hope, peace, light, and life to all mankind.

We thank the Lord for the privilege and grace to be allowed to minister in the following places since our last report; we were in Twin Cities Bible Church—Nitro WV, Pastor Scott Bandy, for a great week of meetings. We went to Lakewood Baptist—Powderly, TX, Pastor John Griswood for a power weekend meeting, then to Parkview Baptist—Childress, TX, Pastor Don McFarland. I assisted with our own Metropolitan Baptist Missions Conference, then to Washington County Baptist—Lincoln, AR, Pastor Kevin Alexander for a week of meetings. I was in Victory Baptist—Wichita Falls, TX, Pastor Jim Turner for their annual Missions Revival. I preached a Sunday for Trinity Baptist—Austin, TX, Pastor David Burkholder then to Westworth Baptist Temple—Fort Worth, TX, Pastor Bob Mayberry. We were at Star Baptist Church—Keota, OK, Pastor Rick McClaskey for their Anniversary Sunday. We then traveled to Victory Baptist—Abilene, TX, Pastor David Sims for a week of meetings. We made a quick trip from dry West Texas to the “Bayou Country” to Calvary Baptist—Luling, LA, Missionary/Pastor Curtis Gibson for a Missions/Bible Conference. We have had a busy yet wonderful couple of months.

As I look back at the blessings of the Lord throughout the year I praise Him for the wonderful pastors and churches that He has sent us unto. He has allowed us to be involved in meetings in 34 churches across several states. Of these, six were Missions meetings. I thank God for having a part in stirring hearts for souls across Worldwide Missions. In addition I was able to assist with our Local Church Bible Institute—The Timothy Endeavor at Metropolitan Baptist Church. There have been many decisions and movement in the churches, souls have been stirred and saved, young men have surrendered to preach, many have renewed their commitment to the Lord, Missions burdens and outreach has been increased and enlarged. God has truly worked in every place, yet the need is greater than ever before.

I am working on a New Year’s Message out of Exodus, I call it “Detours, Dead Ends, and Dry Holes”. That is where some of us have been in 2008. No doubt we will find some of that in the coming year. Our only answer is in “Looking unto Jesus”. old song says “I need no other resting place”. Real joy is only found in reaching people with the Gospel, but Psalm 126:5 says, “They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.”Sorrows in service are the beginnings of revival. Don’t be discouraged, just keep looking to Him in 2009.

Our itinerary is not full for the first months of 2008. Pastor we would love to serve in your church. If you feel so led of the Lord we will do all that we can to accommodate you. Every church we are in is important to us our desire is to be an encouragement to the people and to the pastor. We take every ministry opportunity seriously and earnestly pray for God to use us in the churches we go to this year. Our ministry is one of Faith, we trust the Lord to open doors and touch the hearts of those where He would have us serve. Our contact information is on this letter. We will be glad to hear from you. Thanks for taking time to read this letter.
