February 2009
Dear Friends,
Greetings to you in the sweet and precious Name of Jesus, we are grateful to be able to send this first report for 2009. In the middle of all the besetting influences around us; economic insecurity, political instability, military hazard and satanic harassment, we can still say “there is a God in heaven that rules in the affairs of men”. The old song says, “I’m On the Winning Side”. I am thankful to be on His side aren’t you?
God has been gracious to us in the first couple of months of this year. We have been able to stay close to home much of these first days (that’s a blessing). Yet we have been quite busy at the same time. We started the year with a special day at Faith BC in Teague, TX where Charles Kimball is the founding pastor. The next week we were in Bible BC in Duncan, OK, Jeremy Taylor is the new pastor and off to a great start. I filled a Wed. and Sunday at Metropolitan BC while my pastor was in Thailand. We then were in Jacksonville, TX for a victory week of Missions Revival, Jack Thrift is the faithful pastor there.
It was a privilege to preach a chapel service at Crown Southwest, Norris Seminary, Dan Knickerbocker is the administrator there. The first week of February we were at Calvary Boys Ranch, Eufaula, OK, Jerry McDonald is in his 31st year there as Founder/Pastor/Administrator. Next had 2 great days with Lakewood BC, Powderly, TX, John Griswood pastor. We celebrated First Bible BC, Kennedale, TX’s 60th Anniversary Sunday, John Boyd is long time pastor. I finished the month of February teaching a Mini-semester on Prophecy at Metropolitan’s Timothy Endeavor Bible Institute.
It is apparent that in this hour that many are hurting, tired, frustrated and discouraged today. I urge us to run the race faithfully, not forgetting to keep looking to the Savior. It is not time to quit yet. In this hour of frustration and discouragement we still can know joy and victory. He has not and will not forsake His own. It will help us to remember that it is an eternal business that we are about. We may struggle in the day to day but don’t lose your vision of eternity and eternal souls that are in the balance. Heaven’s witnesses look on and heaven’s reward awaits those who will faithfully run this race.
We have open dates in our itinerary for about any month for the remainder of the year. Pastor we would love to try to be a help to you and your church. If you feel so led of the Lord we will do all that we can to accommodate you. Every place we serve is important to us, our desire is to be an encouragement to people and pastor. We take every ministry opportunity seriously and earnestly pray for God to use us where we will go this year. Our ministry is one of Faith, we trust the Lord to touch the hearts of those He would have us serve and open doors. Our contact information is on this letter.
